Honours Project
Ancient Rage
Ancient Rage is my latest project for my Honours Module at University. It is a First Person Horror Game where you must navigate through the Ancient Greek Labyrinth while trying to avoid the Minotaur. Along the way, you can discover the Myths to learn how the Minotaur came to be, what havoc his existence caused, and receive the God’s Blessings to improve your chances of survival.
As this was a solo project, I made all the Narrative, Level, and Coding decisions. If you want to download the game, check out the Itch.io page below! To see my design decisions in depth, please look at my Miro board, linked below.
Other Work
The Warp and the Weft
The Warp and the Weft was a game made by Compact Illusions in my third year at Abertay University in collaboration with the V&A Dundee for their Tartan exhibit. The game takes you through the journey of how to make tartan through 3 simple minigames and explores the history of tartan through the two customers you meet.
I was the sole narrative designer for the team and was responsible for designing the characters’ backstories and motivations and writing all of the game’s dialogue. I also assisted with the preproduction of the minigames present in the game.
If you want to download the game, check out the Itch.io page below! If you want to learn more, check out the game’s portfolio page to learn more about the game and to access the Game Design and Narrative Design documents!
Cvlt: One of Us
Cvlt: One of Us was made in my second year at Abertay University by Too Ghoul For School. You take control of the enlightened one and slowly convert the residents of a small village to join your cult.
I was one of the narrative designers on the team. I helped create the game's plot, designed the characters' motivations and backstories, and assisted in writing all the dialogue.
If you want to download the game, check out the Itch.io page below! If you want to learn more, check out the game’s portfolio page to learn more about the game and access the Narrative Design document and Script!
